Biography

Caroline Shenton is Director of the Parliamentary Archives at Westminster, an archivist, historian and writer. She was previously a senior archivist at the National Archives and is a Fellow of both the Society of Antiquaries and the Royal Historical Society. Her first book, The Day Parliament Burned Down, published in 2012, received rave reviews and was shortlisted in the Political Book Awards and for the Longman/History Today Prize.
