Lesley Glaister is the prize winning author of 10 literary novels published in up to 10 languages. Her first novel, Honour Thy Father (1990), won both a Somerset Maugham Award and a Betty Trask Award. For Limestone and Clay (1993), she was awarded the Yorkshire Post Author of the Year award.
Lesley Glaister lives with her husband and divides her time between Sheffield and Orkney. She has three sons and teaches creative writing at Sheffield Hallam University. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
Her most recent novel Chosen was published in 2010.
