Diana Preston
Diana Preston is an Oxford-educated historian, writer and broadcaster. She is the author of The Road to Culloden Moor: Bonnie Prince Charlie and the '45 Rebellion; A First Rate Tragedy: Robert Falcon Scott and the Race to the South Pole and Besieged in Peking: The Story of the 1900 Boxer Rising. She co authored with her husband Michael Preston Before the Fall-Out. The Human Chain Reaction from Marie Curie to Hiroshima which was longlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize for Non Fiction 2006. A Teardrop on the Cheek of Time tells the story behind the Taj Mahal; her latest book Cleopatra and Antony is published by Doubleday.
