Guy Grieve

Guy Grieve was born in 1973 in Southern Africa. Half Italian and half Scottish his childhood was spread across three continents. He recently made an uncompromising break for the bushes escaping the shackles of office life forever. He survived a classic solo adventure in which he brought a childhood dream to life - building his own cabin in the sub-arctic wilderness and living for one year in one of the world’s last great wilderness regions 300 miles from the nearest road and days from the nearest human settlement. He ran his own dog team, hunted and fished and survived temperatures that fell below -80 and made friendships in that lonely region that have changed the direction of his life forever…Jack London would have approved.

Hodder published his account of this adventure in 2006.

He has also written articles for the Scotsman.

He now lives on a Hebridean island with his wife and two young sons.
